創世紀Genesis

希伯來文舊約聖經原無書名，猶太人用各書開頭的第一個字來命名，所以創世記希伯來原文是「起初」之意。

「創世紀」是舊約摩西五書的首卷Pentateuch，Pentateuch就是5的意思。記述猶太教和基督教創始的故事，以及以色列民族的歷史淵源。

這是聖經的頭一卷書，也是所有聖經的基礎，稱為聖經的種子溫床，也是打開整本聖經的鑰匙。

摩西五書，猶太人稱為律法書，也就是神的指示。

Genesis創世紀 is the book of beginnings

創世紀這本書，就叫起初。

Genesis is the book of beginnings:

 the beginning of creation,

神創造的開始

the beginning of man the beginning of sin,

創造亞當也是人類的開始，夏娃吃了智慧果也是罪的開始。

 and the beginning of God's plan for the redemption

 rɪˋdɛmpʃən]    of sinning man.

也是神為了救贖人的罪的開始。

創世紀的第一句

The Beginning

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

天（ HEAVENS）是用複數表達，意為諸天，即指地球的大氣圈（俗稱天空）之外的日月眾星（包括太陽系

Complexity of cells is not synonymous同義字 with higher life forms.

也有一種說法是，複數的天代表更高的生命形式，也是榮耀上帝。

The Hebrew word for God in verse 1 is "Elohim" which is plural. This indicates that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit acted together to create the world.

希伯來文的神"Elohim"用的是複數，希伯來文的複數有2和3的分別，2如眼睛， 原本就是一雙的，這指三位一體的神，聖父，聖子與聖靈。

從這一段我們可以看出

Something can come from nothing.

有來自於無，無為萬物之始。

Order can come from chaos.

秩序來自渾沌。

Au commencement, Dieu créa les cieux et la terre.

Au commencement起初

Dieu神

Créa創造

les cieux天  這是複數

la terre地，地球。

在聖經一開始，我們很多時都將重點放在第一章第一節上，e起初神創造天地f，這裡講及神的主權，神如何創造了人類，並指出神是一切生命的源頭。

這都是對的。而且，創世記與啟示錄的內容是互相對照。創世記第一章談論神的創造，而啟示錄也是提到神創造了新天新地。
